The Hong Kong Vase was won by French filly Daryakana as she stormed home to win the first of four Group One races on International Day at Sha Tin.

Daryakana put in an impressive performance, it was only her fifth start and she came from near last on the turn and managed to forge ahead, keeping her unbeaten record in place.

The filly is owned by the Aga Khan and trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre. Daryakana beat English entrant Spanish Moon and Kasbah Bliss, third.
